Make it a seriesStory plot generator: how to use it
- Give one character, one place or one what-if. Two work well together, such as a night baker and a town with no power.
- Read the 5 parts in order: start, problem, twist, big moment and ending. Check that each part causes the next one.
- Estimate how many seconds each part would take on screen. Cut any part that repeats the job of another part.
Example
Written by hand to show the format. Your result will be different.
- You type
- A lighthouse keeper's daughter in a fishing village, and the lamp starts moving on its own.
- You get something like
- Title: The Light That Walked. Start: Mara lights the lamp every dusk, as her father taught her. Problem: one night the lamp turns toward the harbour with nobody touching it. Twist: the boats follow it, and one of them is her father's. Big moment: Mara climbs the tower and finds the lens has been moved. Ending: a note in her father's handwriting says: turn it back before the tide.
Tips
- Give the main character one want and one fear. The problem part works when viewers know what the character could lose.
- Plant one small detail in the start that pays off in the twist. Viewers enjoy spotting why it mattered.
- Keep one surprise per video. Two twists in under a minute are hard to follow.
Questions
What is a plot twist in a short story?
A twist changes what the viewer thought was happening. It should come from details already shown, so it feels earned rather than random.
How do I end a story so people come back?
End on an open question or on a choice the character has not made yet. A clear ending for one video with a hook for the next works well in a series.
Can one plot become a story series?
Yes. The five parts can make the first episode, and each later episode can start from the ending of the one before. Keep the same character so viewers can follow along.
When one plot needs more room than one video, Mubuz can split the story across up to 10 episodes, with a consistent main character and a captioned vertical video with voice for each episode.
