Guide
How to start a faceless YouTube channel with AI
By the Mubuz team · Published
You can run a YouTube channel without showing your face or recording your voice. AI can write, draw, voice and post. What it cannot do is decide what the channel is for. This guide goes from an empty channel to a first series, in the order that saves the most rework.
1. Choose a niche that can earn
Pick something you would happily watch 100 videos of. Then check two things: will the videos get full ads (no shock or gore), and is it really for children (then it is made-for-kids content, with comments and personalized ads turned off). Our list of 15 faceless niches has a note on each.
2. Name the channel and write the bio
A name should say the niche in two or three words and be easy to say aloud. Try the free channel name generator and the bio generator, then check that the handle is free on YouTube.
3. Plan a series, not random videos
Decide the recurring part (a character, a place, a format) and the part that changes each episode (the event, the clue, the fact). That split is what keeps a channel from looking "interchangeable from video to video", which YouTube does not monetize.
4. Make the first 10 episodes
In Mubuz one idea becomes up to 10 episodes of 15 seconds each. Read every episode before you approve it, and make the first line of episode 1 the strongest: it is the one new viewers see first.
5. Post on a rhythm and watch two numbers
Post at the same time on set days. After two weeks, look at how many viewers keep watching versus swipe away, and how many open episode 2 after episode 1. Change the hooks and endings, not the niche, first.
6. Know the monetization bar
Through Shorts, the YouTube Partner Program needs 1,000 subscribers and 10 million qualified Shorts views in the last 90 days (or 4,000 public watch hours on long videos in 12 months). Faceless and AI channels qualify like any other, as long as the content is not generic, repetitive or mass-produced.
Questions
Can a faceless AI channel be monetized?
Yes, if it meets the Partner Program thresholds and the content is original and varied. YouTube allows "using AI to visualize a unique character and narrative you invented".
How many videos should I post before judging a niche?
Give it a full series and two weeks of steady posting, then judge by how many viewers keep watching and open the next episode.
